A proud native Texan, husband, father, and grandfather, Jim Herblin desires to lead Prosper ISD back to a place of strength. Like so many of you, Jim was raised on common sense values. At a young age he was instilled with the value of hard work and education. That early emphasis on education and growth would ultimately go on to drive his dedication and passion for pursuing knowledge, growth, and excellence in every endeavor he undertook. In 1990 to 1994, Jim put his passion for education into action as a Richardson ISD School Board Trustee.

 

As a forensic accountant and small business owner, Jim understands how to balance a budget and prevent wasteful spending. Jim will lead the fight to fix our broken property tax system and make sure every dollar is put to good use.

 

Jim has a long history of community involvement and leadership and will lead the charge to enact policies consistent with those pro-Texas and pro-family planks. His leadership roles and business experience will be the foundation to drive the continued growth of PISD to a peak of 54,000 students.

 

Jim and his wife Dana live in Prosper, Texas. They are grandparents to twelve grandchildren. Three of Jim and Dana's children are former Prosper ISD students with 2 of them being Prosper ISD graduates.  One of the twelve grandchildren is a former Prosper ISD student.
